Scope limits

• A printed or physical card is not included. The order is the hosted profile and its QR code.
• The QR code itself does not expire. It opens the profile link, and that link shows contact details only while the hosted profile is active.
• No monthly or annual scan allowance or scan-based fee while hosting is active. This does not promise unlimited capacity or uninterrupted availability.
• If hosting ends or the profile is unpublished, the link can remain, but the contact details are no longer shown.
• Saving a contact downloads a file. It does not update a contact the recipient already stored.
• Self-Service does not include staff editing. Staff Setup includes one revision before approval. Extra staff work after handover is quoted separately.
• Both individual options use the same card features. Staff Setup charges for staff labor, not extra hosted features.
• Company packages do not convert existing individual subscriptions automatically. A replacement worker receives a new card ID and public link. A former worker’s QR destination is not reassigned.

Create, preview, and publish

Self-Service starts with a private draft. You can design the card, choose a template, add a logo, photo, brand colors, and social links, and preview the result without making it public. That private preview is not public hosting and is not a free trial.

When the card is complete, you accept checkout terms and pay hosting. Publication follows verified hosting payment. Until then, the public link does not show the card.

Templates, sharing, and saved contacts

Essential, Portrait, and Business Pro templates are included. A QR code opens the same permanent public link. Recipients can download a contact file for their address book.

That downloaded contact does not update when you later edit the online card. Optional contact exchange lets a visitor share details back; those leads appear in the card owner’s dashboard. A contact-file download is not a lead and does not notify you.

Setup, edits, and hosting

Self-Service customers enter their own card, preview it, accept checkout terms, pay hosting, and publish a complete card after verified payment. Staff Setup uses the same card features. The customer submits details and pays setup, Modern Tech Solutions prepares an unpublished draft, and the customer previews it, requests one revision or approves it, then pays hosting before publication.

Staff Setup includes organizing supplied content, preparing images, styling the card, checking links, delivering the public link and QR code, and one revision before approval. After handover the customer can edit the card. Additional staff changes are quoted separately.

Annual or prepaid hosting keeps the profile available at the same link while that paid term is active. A printed card and a custom redesign are not part of hosting.

Renewal and what happens when service ends

The annual option renews automatically until canceled in billing and continues through the paid year after cancellation. A failed annual renewal keeps the public card on for seven days, then turns it off while keeping the same URL.

Prepaid two-year and three-year hosting does not renew automatically. That grace period does not apply to a prepaid term. When the prepaid term ends, the public card turns off. Card details, the public link, and the QR destination stay the same. Paying another prepaid term or the annual subscription restores the same card.

When a profile is unpublished or hosting has ended, the QR code still opens the same link, and the link can remain, but the contact details are no longer shown.

Refund terms are not confirmed on this page. Tax is not collected at checkout until a tax configuration is confirmed.

Additional profiles

The first profile and each additional Self-Service profile are priced separately. Each additional Self-Service card is its own annual subscription with its own anniversary, and there is no proration in this version.

There is no fixed bundle of individual profiles. A profile can be Self-Service or Staff Setup. Staff Setup cards stay unpublished until the customer approves the private preview and Modern Tech Solutions publishes them.

A company package is a separate annual subscription for purchased slots. Individual cards already on their own hosting stay there unless the company later chooses a new company package. They are not migrated automatically and are not billed twice for the same card.

• Each additional Self-Service profile

  Annual hosting fee: $60 per year. Each additional self-managed card is its own $60/year subscription with its own anniversary. There is no proration in this version. Individual cards are not converted into a company package automatically.

• Company package, 1–4 slots

  Annual hosting fee: $60 per slot/year. One business account, one annual subscription, one bill, and one renewal date. The $60 rate applies to every purchased slot. Team volume rates do not stack with other discounts and do not change individual $60/$120/$180 prices.

• Company package, 5–9 slots

  Annual hosting fee: $54 per slot/year. The $54 rate applies to every purchased slot, not only the slots above four. One company subscription. Midyear additions confirm the prorated charge first. Reductions are scheduled for renewal.

• Company package, 10–24 slots

  Annual hosting fee: $48 per slot/year. The $48 rate applies to every purchased slot. 25 or more slots need a custom quote instead of this self-serve rate.

• Company package, 25 or more slots

  Annual hosting fee: Custom quote. Teams of 25 or more card slots are quoted separately. Checkout does not open a volume rate for that size.

• Company staff-assisted setup

  Setup fee: Custom quote. Custom team setup labor, separate from annual hosting. This is not $99 per employee. Staff count, required customization, and supplied information are collected first. The quoted price must be accepted before payment. Setup payment does not create a hosting subscription or trial. Setup-paid companies can prepare private drafts before hosting checkout. The owner starts hosting checkout after at least one approved, complete staff card is ready to publish. Later staff cards share that renewal date. Incomplete or unapproved cards stay private even after other company cards publish.

• The public price for this offer is “Request a Quote.” A written quote separates one-time project fees, setup fees, monthly or annual subscriptions, and optional care.
• Domains, hosting, payment processing, app store fees, licenses, and other third-party costs are additional unless the quote lists them.
• Revision rounds, support time, and integrations are limited to the written scope. We do not offer unlimited revisions, unlimited support, or guaranteed business results.
• Self-Service is annual automatic hosting with no setup fee. Optional prepaid two-year and three-year hosting does not renew automatically.
• Staff Setup adds a one-time staff labor charge, collected at signup after checkout terms are accepted. That setup charge is not billed again and does not make the card public. Staff prepares a private card; hosting payment follows client approval. Annual hosting is the same automatic yearly plan. Prepaid Staff Setup charges the selected prepaid amount after that approval.
• Both paths record the checkout terms version and acceptance time. They do not use a separately signed service agreement or e-signature.
• Each additional Self-Service card is its own annual subscription and anniversary, or its own prepaid term. There is no proration in this version.
• Company packages are annual team hosting. One to four slots use the same annual rate as one Self-Service card. Five to nine slots use a lower per-slot annual rate applied to every purchased slot. • Self-Service annual hosting starts when the subscription first becomes active. Self-Service prepaid starts when that payment succeeds. Staff Setup annual and prepaid hosting start only after verified hosting payment and publication. Setup payment and approval do not make a card public.
• You can cancel an annual subscription in billing, and that paid year continues until it ends. Canceling does not remove already-paid prepaid time.
• If an annual renewal payment fails, hosting stays on for seven days. That grace period does not apply to a prepaid term. After a prepaid term ends, the public card and contact download turn off. The permanent URL stays the same.

Questions about digital business cards

Can I design a digital business card before paying?

Yes. Self-Service lets you create a private draft and preview it at no charge. That preview is not a public card and is not a free trial of hosting. Hosting payment is required before the card can be published.

What can a published card include?

A hosted profile with your name, title, company, phone numbers, email, optional address, website, short description, and services. You can choose Essential, Portrait, or Business Pro templates, add a logo and photo, set brand colors, and include social links. A QR code opens the same public link. Recipients can download a contact file.

Do saved phone contacts update when I edit my card?

No. Downloading a contact file imports a snapshot into the recipient’s address book. Later edits to the online card do not change a contact they already saved. The public profile stays current at the same link while hosting is active.

What is contact exchange?

Optional contact exchange lets a visitor share their name and email, and optionally a phone, company, and message, with the card owner. Those leads appear in the owner’s dashboard. Downloading the contact file does not share the visitor’s details or notify the owner.

How is Self-Service different from Staff Setup?

Both options use the same card features. Self-Service is $60/year with no setup fee; you create and manage the card. Staff Setup is $99 one-time staff labor plus $60/year hosting ($159 the first year). Staff prepares a private card; hosting payment follows your approval. Setup does not make the card public.

No. Modern Tech Solutions is based in Columbia, South Carolina, and digital business cards are available to individuals and teams elsewhere. A hosted profile is shared by link or QR code, not limited to one city.
